Former TCU and Oregon Athletes Bet Bison, Brisket and Bragging Rights

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressmen Roger Williams (R – Texas) and Ryan Zinke (R – Mont.), former college athletes, today announced the terms of a friendly and delicious bet surrounding this year's Alamo Bowl between the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs and the Oregon Ducks.

Williams was an All-Southwest Conference center fielder at TCU, and Zinke was an All PAC-10 center with the Oregon Ducks.

If TCU prevails, Zinke has agreed to treat Williams to a bison burger, a native fare of his home state of Montana. Should the Ducks win, Williams will deliver Texas-style BBQ to Zinke.

"My Horned-Frogs had an incredible season, and I have no doubt they will once again bring home a victory, and let's remember they also have the advantage playing in their home state," said Williams. "The Ducks may put up a fight, but I'm already looking forward to that bison burger."

"This year's Alamo Bowl will be a crowd pleaser with big offenses colliding to put big points on the board. But too bad for TCU fans, Oregon is hot right now, finishing the season winning the past six games," said Zinke. "I'm confident my Ducks will take home the trophy, and I'll take home some delicious Austin, Texas-style BBQ."
