Roger Williams Honors Fort Hood on House Floor

July 16, 2015

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Roger Williams (R-Texas), who represents Fort Hood in Congress, spoke on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives today to address sequestration and the recently announced U.S. Army troop reduction and how they relate to Fort Hood.

"Mr. Speaker, Fort Hood is a resilient community made up of some of the finest soldiers I have ever met," said Williams. "They have been dealt some serious challenges and each time they have overcome them. It is not fair for our brave men and women to suffer the consequences of our inability to properly govern."
