Roger Williams Praises Texas Recovery Efforts

June 11, 2015

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Roger Williams (R-Texas) today spoke on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives to commend recovery efforts in Wimberley, Texas in the aftermath of recent flooding:

"In Wimberley, a town about 40 miles southwest of the Texas capital, water rushed over the banks of the Blanco River with enough force to rip houses off their foundations and carry cars like they were toys.

"Today, just a few weeks since the rains eased and the floodwaters subsided, Wimberley is making a comeback… it's open for business.

"Mr. Speaker, this is the Texas way. This is what we do."
