Rep. Williams’ Calls for the Impeachment of President Biden
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Roger Williams (TX-25) issued the following statement calling on President Biden to be impeached:
“I stated earlier today, the best thing for the future of America and our troops overseas, is for President Biden to resign. Judging by his refusal to accept full responsibility for the crisis at the press conference this evening, it’s clear he has no intention to do so. For that reason, Congress should immediately begin impeachment proceedings to remove President Biden from office, before any further damage can be done. President Biden failed our brave men and women on the ground in Afghanistan by giving them an untenable mission, and as a result we lost 13 of our finest U.S. Marines, Soldiers, and Navy Corpsman on the battlefield. All the while, the Biden Administration was handing over the names of U.S. citizens and allies still in the country to the Taliban. A remarkable, yet entirely believable action by a President whose demonstrated more trust in the Taliban than our own intelligence community. Speaker Pelosi and her colleagues should stop playing defense for the President, whose made clear he is either incapable or unwilling to discharge his duties as the Commander in Chief."
Congressman Roger Williams represents the 25th Congressional District of Texas and serves as a member of the House Committee on Financial Services and as Vice-Ranking Member of the House Small Business Committee.
