Energy Independence

Ensuring that America can produce enough energy for our own consumption needs is vital to our national security. The One Big Beautiful Bill, passed by House Republicans and signed into law by President Trump, harnesses the power of domestic energy production to restore American energy dominance and drive down the cost of living for the hardworking families and small business owners of Main Street. I will continue supporting domestic oil and gas producers, as well as an all above energy approach, so that we do not depend on foreign countries for our energy.

Some of my work includes:

• Introduced the Fuel Emissions Freedom Act, H.R. 4117, which restores regulatory certainty to the U.S. automotive sector by overturning all federal and state fuel emissions regulations, including California’s special authority under the Clean Air Act.
• Introduced the Stop the Subsidized Green Energy Scam Act, H.R. 4118, which puts an end to taxpayer-funded subsidies that prop up politically favored green industries, like the Energy Credit, Clean Electricity Production Tax Credit, and Clean Electricity Investment Tax Credit.
• Cosponsored the Energy Choice Act, H.R. 3699 , which preserves consumer choice in the energy sector by prohibiting state and local governments from banning or limiting specific sources of energy.
