Dear Texans,

At the start of this Congress, small business optimism was low. Employers and workers needed relief from burdensome regulations in order to grow their business. Last year, we passed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which slashed taxes for Main Street and allowed it to breathe again.

✓ 20 percent small business tax deduction

✓ Immediate business equipment expensing

✓ Small business optimism is reaching record highs

The American people, whether they own a small business or are employed by one, are flourishing due to historical tax cuts, and I am excited to continue watching the economy thrive.

Touring the District

This past week, I've been able to travel the great 25th District of Texas to meet with all of you. Below are some of the stops I made along the way:

Friday was a historic day for Tarleton State University - it marked the midpoint of construction for their Fort Worth building. As the representative for their Stephenville campus, I was honored to speak at the ceremony and share my excitement for this next chapter. Thank you for having me and welcome to your new home!

I visited the Hill College Technical Center in Cleburne where I met with faculty, staff, and students to learn more about the Snap-on Automotive Technology Program, the HVAC Program and the Welding Program. I enjoyed hearing their firsthand experiences and look forward to watching this program succeed.

It was great to be in Clifton with the members of the Rotary Club! I am thankful for the time they shared with me and will continue fighting for them in Washington.

It is an honor and privilege to represent the people of Texas' 25th Congressional District and as always, please reach out to me with any issues and concerns that are important to you.

In God we trust,
