Rep. Williams Joins Bipartisan Effort to Call Out President Biden’s Attack on American Energy
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Roger Williams (TX-25) joined a bipartisan letter with seven House Members to President Biden expressing concern over proposed interest from the White House to reinstate a crude oil export ban that was lifted in 2015. You can read the full letter here.
"Last week 62 of my Republican colleagues joined my effort to hold President Biden and his Administration accountable for his anti-energy, job killing agenda," said Congressman Williams. "Today, four Democrats recognized the harm that Biden's policies would have on the American economy, and joined with Republicans to confront their party's relentless attempts to disenfranchise American oil and gas companies and force the socialist Green New Deal Agenda onto taxpayers. The Biden Administration refuses to account for the dire consequences that reinstating the crude oil export ban would have on our domestic oil and gas production and our ability to compete against the influence of malign actors and near peer threats. I am pleased to see bipartisan momentum in pushing back against President Biden's attack on the American energy sector and Texas jobs."
Co-signers included: Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX-28), Rep. August Pfluger (R-TX-11), Rep. Filemon Vela (D-TX-34), Rep. Tony Gonzalez (R-TX-23), Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (R-TX-15), Rep. Sanford Bishop (D-GA-02) and Rep, Carol Miller (R-WV-03).
