Rep. Williams ‘Reaffirms Congress’ Commitment to Israel’

January 11, 2017

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Roger Williams (R – Austin) on Wednesday spoke on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives in support of Israel after the House last week overwhelmingly objected to an anti-Israel UN Security Council resolution condemning Jewish settlements.

"This UN resolution was one-sided...This UN resolution will be used to justify the actions of those who want to see Israel wiped off the map," said Williams. "As I speak, we are still mourning Sunday's attack on a group of Israeli soldiers that left four dead and more than a dozen injured."

On Monday, Williams' oped, This Congress Is Committed to Israel, appeared in the publication, Town Hall.
