Our Friend and Ally
One of the promises I made when I came to Congress was to always stand with Israel. The bond between our two nations and people is precious, and I believe they are one of our greatest allies in the world.
This week, President Trump strengthened our commitment to Israel by introducing a Middle East peace plan that provides the basis for historic progress toward peace in the region. Under the plan, Israel's security will be fully protected as Jerusalem's Holy Sites are safeguarded and the freedom of worship is guaranteed for Jews, Christians, Muslims, and people of all faiths.
The plan's ultimate realization requires both countries coming to the table, but the President's bold vision brings together political rivals and sets the framework for stability and prosperity.
Though previous peace efforts have proven unsuccessful, I pray that this latest peace proposal provides a fresh start for all parties involved. The United States continues to be the greatest proponent of peace in Israel, where bloodshed has been all too prevalent for decades.
As President Trump said, "Our alliance with the State of Israel has never, ever been stronger than it is today." I intend to do all I can to keep it that way.
In God we trust,
