Biden's SBA Fails Small Businesses
This week the House Small Business Committee held a hearing on the Small Business Administration's (SBA) handling of COVID-19 relief programs for small businesses. In my exchange with the SBA Administrator, I brought up the delays and dysfunction with the Shuttered Venues Operators Grant (SVOG). I pressed her on why money from the grant program that was signed into law over five months ago has yet to make its way into the hands of eligible business. I also raised my concerns that Biden's plans to raise taxes will have serious consequences on small businesses who are on the heels of the pandemic and democrat-driven, record inflation. Supporting Veteran Entrepreneurs
This week I was proud to lead a bipartisan effort with Representative Schneider (D-IL-10) to codify the Boots to Business (B2B) program. B2B equips transitioning service members with the resources they’ll need to become successful entrepreneurs. You can read more on the bill by clicking here.
