Come and Read It Report
Dear Texans,
I have spent the past two weeks crisscrossing through our great district to meet with all of you and hear your ideas and concerns that I can take back with me to Washington. I met with many small business owners and employees, school district officials, and healthcare experts - I had a great time talking about everyday issues we all face and how I can help y'all. Below are some highlights I'd like to share:
I kicked off the tour of the district in North Fort Hood where I got to meet with the men and women who serve our great nation.
I joined Americans for Prosperity for a open forum where we discussed the benefits of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in Texas' 25th Congressional District. It was great to hear from all of you about how this historic tax reform is benefitting you and your families and businesses.
I had a great time with San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenburg, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred, and Bexar County Judge Jason Wolff at the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Meeting - thanks for having me!
I was honored to be with our Vietnam War veterans in Lampasas. Thank you all for your selfless service to our country.
It was great being able to throw out the first pitch, along with our Vietnam War veterans at the Lake Travis High School baseball game. These vets are heroes, and it was my honor to introduce them to our community.
The security of our nation's children and teachers is a top priority. I had a very productive conversation with Johnson County school officials, safety officers, and local law enforcement to discuss my school security bill, H.R. 5107. I enjoyed their feedback and look forward to taking their ideas back with me to Washington.
Great time touring Glen Rose Medical Center and meeting with their staff to discuss rural healthcare. Thanks for having me and I will continue to fight for you in Washington!
Always good to be in Stephenville! Thanks, Fibergrate Composite Structures for taking me on a tour of your facility - it was great to discuss recent legislation, such as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, and how it impacts your business.

Applicants must complete a release form, and submit entries by Monday, April 30, 2018. For more information on rules and how to submit, please click here.
Southern Border Update
The safety of Americans is absolutely paramount, and as a strong supporter of tougher immigration laws, I applaud President Trump and DHS's announcement to further address our border security loopholes by deploying the National Guard to the southern border. I have always been in favor of using any and all means necessary, including more boots on the ground, to secure our nation's borders. I will remain dedicated to working with the President and this Congress to ensure we take additional steps to combat threats to our nation and keep our citizens safe.
It is an honor and privilege to represent the people of Texas' 25th Congressional District and as always, please reach out to me with any issues and concerns that are important to you.
In God we trust,
Roger Williams
Member of Congress
