Dear Texans,

As many of you have heard, I spent the last week meeting with American soldiers, U.S. officials, and government leaders in Iraq and Kuwait. These meetings were focused on better understanding U.S. military operations in the Middle East, and how Congress can support our military and diplomatic efforts in the region. I had the opportunity to meet with troops from all over Texas and the U.S., including our III Corps Phantom Warriors from Fort Hood. After spending a week with our military men and women, I am more confident than ever that we will win the fight to ensure lasting peace in the region, while also defending American interests abroad. I appreciate the Departments of Defense and State for allowing me the privilege to visit their headquarters in Iraq and Kuwait, and I will continue to work hard in Washington on behalf of our patriots serving overseas.

Tax Reform Update

Thanks to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, unemployment is below 4% for the first time since 2000. This is only the second time it's been this low since 1969. Additionally, tax reform has dramatically improved the way small businesses are treated under the code and has unleashed hundreds of billions of dollars in tax cuts. Small businesses can now invest more into their workers, increase benefits, buy and update equipment, and create more jobs. Find out more at https://fairandsimple.gop/
