Over the last few months, I've had the opportunity to hear from members of our community about what matters most to them. It is a privilege to be your voice in Congress and to fight on your behalf for continued job creation, economic growth, and bettering the lives of our Texas families. Click on the video below to see a few of my visits throughout the 25th District.

As a reminder, if you need help with a federal agency, please call my offices in Cleburne and Austin, or visit williams.house.gov. My staff is ready to assist with issues like Social Security benefits, claims with the Department of Veterans Affairs, or expediting your passport.

Democrats' impeachment sham:

There's a lot of talk in Washington right now about the impeachment inquiry into President Trump – the bottom line is that Democrats have been trying to undo the results of the 2016 election and remove the president from office for the last three years. Rather than working toward bipartisan solutions for our nation's issues, like passing a new trade deal or protecting our schools, they're conducting hearings behind closed doors and leaking convenient information in a rushed, politically driven process.

Earlier this week, I signed onto a House resolution condemning the reckless and irresponsible behavior of Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff as he leads the impeachment charade and plays politics on the taxpayer's dime. This is a sham and the American people are tired of it.

Medicare enrollment and Social Security update:

Medicare enrollment begins next Tuesday, October 15, 2019 and ends on December 7, 2019. As the Open Enrollment period begins, please visit medicare.gov to review your choices and choose the plan that best fits your needs. To make this often daunting process easier and more personalized, Medicare beneficiaries can use the new Medicare Plan Finder to review their options by shopping and comparing Medicare Advantage and Part D plans. For more information and instructions, please click here.

Beginning in 2020, nearly 69 million Americans will get a 1.6% increase in monthly social security payments. If you have a my Social Security account, notices regarding new benefit amounts will be posted online in December for retirement, survivors, and disability beneficiaries. Click here or visit ssa.gov for more information.

It was a tremendous privilege to welcome the National Medal of Honor Museum to Texas. I don't believe there is anywhere that the spirit of freedom, and the reverence for those who fought for it, is more treasured than right here in our home state.

I'm thankful for USAA's long history of support for our military community and their families, and I'm grateful to have their team in Austin providing servicemembers with the best financial services possible.

As always, please reach out to me with any issues and concerns.

In God we trust,
