Come and Read It Report: Year in Review

As this year comes to an end and we enter into the new decade, I want to share with you some of our milestones from 2019. I was proud to participate in 112 events in all 13 counties of the 25th District, including public town halls, coffees and round-tables. I was also grateful for the opportunity to tour some of our small businesses and manufacturing headquarters, meet with local law enforcement and emergency first responders, host recognition events for our veterans, and honor our service members at Fort Hood and across central Texas.

It was an honor to welcome President Trump and Vice President Pence to the 25th District, where we opened Louis Vuitton's newest manufacturing plant and stood alongside our nation's finest stationed at Fort Hood. We had a busy year, and I look forward to hitting the ground running when we return to Washington in just a few days. I'm proud to be your voice in Congress.

In 2019, we assisted 462 members of our community with casework, including help with claims at the Department of Veterans Affairs, obtaining Social Security benefits, and expediting or reporting a lost passport. Visiting Washington, D.C.?

This year, we led 1,148 tours through the U.S. Capitol for groups of all sizes. Looking ahead

Over the last year, our economy has hit record-highs again and again while wages for workers continue to rise and unemployment steadily remains at a 50-year low. We've seen tremendous economic success under President Trump's leadership, and I look forward to continuing our partnership as we fight for pro-growth, pro-business, and pro-America policies that benefit 25th District families and workers.
