It is the honor of my lifetime to represent the 25th District of Texas in the United States Congress. While COVID-19 continues to impact our daily lives, I want you to know that I continue to fight on your behalf in Washington. We will arise from this pandemic with an increased resolve to deliver more jobs, a stronger economy, better healthcare, and the best military that the world has ever known.

HEALTHCARE

Americans want the very best for their families, and that means the best possible healthcare options. There's a dangerous debate afoot in Congress to implement a policy known as "Medicare for All," a healthcare plan that would fully federalize the American healthcare industry and put the government in control of your healthcare access, at great risk to consumer choice and senior citizens who rely on Medicare as their primary coverage. Any legislation put forward must cover Americans with pre-existing conditions and pay clear attention to the integral role of rural hospitals in our communities.

MILITARY AND VETERANS

The greatest honor I have in Congress is to serve our Soldiers on Fort Hood and our Veterans in TX-25. Central Texas is home to many of the most valiant warriors the world has ever known. Being their representative and having the ability to deliver results that improve veteran care, improve living conditions for Soldiers and military families, and building the most modern and lethal military is a humbling experience.

MEDICAL INNOVATION

If America is to continue as the greatest country the world has ever known, we must take deliberate action to curb the rising cost of healthcare and support innovative advancements in medicine. Continuing the status quo of handouts to health insurers and pharmaceutical companies is unsustainable and not in the best interest of American's health. I support efforts within the Trump administration to lower prescription drug prices, drive down regulations and cure the diseases that continue to plague our loved ones.

CARES ACT

Congress passed and President Trump signed into the law the CARES Act in April 2020. This legislation delivered the most comprehensive response to the COVID-19 pandemic across the United States, delivering stimulus checks, small business loans, and funding for vaccine development, PPE, and testing. I was proud to support this bill that protected jobs, saved small business and prevented a complete economic collapse as government mandates closed business and required Texans to stay at home.

JOBS AND ECONOMY

The American economy is the strongest the world has ever known, and after passing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 it has only grown stronger. Rolling back unnecessary regulation and making corporate taxes competitive with nations around the globe continues to drive more economic growth in the United States. These pro-growth measure have also allowed American energy independence to flourish and create jobs and expansion in Texas. I will continue to fight for a free market economy that gives every Texan the opportunity to live up to his or her full potential.
