Giving Thanks

As we gather together with our loved ones today, I want to take a moment to reflect with gratitude on the great blessing we have living the United States of America.

We are, and always will be, the land of opportunity and a beacon of hope to the rest of the world. Though we may sometimes disagree on the finer points of policy or vision, we are immeasurably blessed with the guaranteed virtue of freedom. We have a responsibility to steward it well, and I pray we never forget it came at a precious cost.

I want to thank our military service members for paying the price and carrying the weight of our liberty. Thousands of men and women in uniform will not be joining their loved ones around the dinner table as they protect our rights on the front lines. They represent the best of our nation, and I am grateful for their extraordinary courage so that we may live as a free people.

On this Thanksgiving, let us reflect on the resiliency of the American spirit and the abundance of blessings given to us by our Creator. We are the greatest nation on earth and for that, I am thankful. May God bless you and your families, and may God continue to bless the United States of America.

In God we trust,
