The Great American Comeback

Newsletter

It was great to meet many of you last week while visiting our 25th District communities. I’m always inspired hearing stories of small businesses who have adapted to the “new normal” and Texans who have embodied the American spirit to move us forward. Thanks to their determination coupled with the pro-growth policies I’m proud to support in Congress, our economic growth in the 3rd Quarter blew away all expectations at a staggering 33.1%. We’re well on our way in the Great American Comeback!

Take a look at my week in TX-25:

It was great visiting with employees at La Moderna’s impressive 150,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility in Cleburne to discuss the adaptations they’ve had to make during COVID-19, the latest on vaccine development, and how our Texas economy is poised for recovery.

I enjoyed visiting with employees at James Hardie Building Products in Cleburne. Our Texas manufacturers and innovators continue propelling our economy forward as we rebound from COVID-19.

It was great to see hundreds of our Johnson County families at The Depot last week for the drive-thru Trunk or Treat!

There is nothing better on a Texas Friday night than high school football. I was honored to kick off last week’s game between the Cleburne High School Yellow Jackets and the Burleson High School Elks.

HAYS COUNTY

I had the opportunity to stop by Wimberley Cafe with the Chamber of Commerce to talk about our impressive Q3 economic growth and the path forward during COVID-19. I’ll always support pro-worker, pro-America policies and I have full faith that we’ll come back stronger than ever.

It was great to hold a townhall with employees at Patriot Erectors, Inc. in Dripping Springs and to answer their questions about Congress’ next steps for COVID-19 relief and learn more about the adaptations they’ve had to make during the pandemic.

Faraday’s Kitchen Store in Bee Cave is Austin’s largest kitchen store and has been supplying our TX-25 community with unique culinary and specialty gourmet resources since 2005. Just two years ago, about 85% of their items were made in China and now 95% are made in the USA.
