Working for our Veterans
Dear Texans,
I wanted to update you on the work I am doing to provide better care to our veterans in Central Texas. The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS), one of the largest healthcare systems in the nation, is growing rapidly and in need of additional resources to meet the needs of our veteran community.
This month, I co-authored a letter with Congressman John Carter (TX-31) to Secretary Robert Wilkie at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) requesting he approve efforts to provide an additional clinic in western Bell County, Texas. The population in this region continues to grow, with over 37,000 veterans living in Bell, Burnett, Coryell and Lampasas Counties. Our veterans have done so much for our great country and they deserve to be taken care of now that they are home. This additional clinic will not only provide the healthcare services they require, but will also offer a more convenient and accessible option for many.
I am continuing to work with the VA to make this request a reality and will always be committed to advocating for our brave veterans.
In God we trust,
Roger Williams
Member of Congress
