Burleson Post Office renaming signed into law

June 10, 2014

Last night, H.R. 3060, a bill to designate the Post Office in Burleson, TX, as the "Sergeant William Moody Post Office Building" was signed into law by the President. Congressman Roger Williams (TX-25) introduced the bill in August 2013.

"I am proud to know this facility will forever stand as a reminder that our freedom is not free," said Williams. "It was paid for by the sacrifice of thousands of men and women like Sgt. William Moody who have put service before self. Sgt. Moody is a true hometown hero, and this dedication will serve as a lasting testament to the tremendous patriotism shared by our community."

Williams and local officials plan to host a celebration in honor of Sgt. Moody, his family, and the newly named Sergeant William Moody Post Office Building later this summer.
