This week, U.S. Congressman Roger Williams (R-TX) invited high school students residing in the 25th District of Texas to participate in the annual Congressional Art Competition by submitting their original pieces of art.
All high school students residing in Texas’ 25th District are eligible to enter. The winning entry will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol, and the student will receive two round-trip airline tickets to Washington, D.C. to attend the unveiling of their artwork in the Capitol and a reception honoring the winners in June.
One winner will be chosen by April 29th, and the deadline to submit artwork is Friday, April 19th. All entries submitted must be original in concept, design, and execution, must be two-dimensional, weigh less than 15 pounds, and must measure 28” x 28” x 4” including frame (winning entry only will be framed).
