Congressman Williams Meets with Cleburne Business Community Leaders
CLEBURNE, TEXAS – Congressman Roger Williams (R-Austin) spoke with local Cleburne business community leaders this afternoon. As a small business owner for his entire working life, Rep. Williams was able to discuss small business legislation and regulations, such as the new Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. They also discussed improvements Rep. Williams hopes to see as Congress begins to debate Tax Reform 2.0.
“Local businesses are a fundamental part of Texas’ 25th Congressional District, and it has been wonderful to watch them flourish over the past seven months after lessening the big-government burden through the passage of historic tax reform. We are seeing the largest tax cuts in our nation’s history, and it is evident that businesses are growing on every street corner,” said Rep. Williams. “As a small business owner, it was great to meet with community leaders and hear what improvements they want to see in the second phase of tax reform. Their ideas are important to me, and I am excited to fight on their behalf. These workers deserve someone who understands the hardships of operating a business to represent them, and I am honored to be that person.”
