Congressman Williams’ Plan Used in Tax Reform Draft

Nov 2, 2017
Press Release

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Congressman Roger Williams (R – Austin), a small business owner and employer for 43 years, released the follow statement after House Republicans announced the introduction to the tax reform plan today:
“After many years of a broken and burdensome tax code, I am proud to see much of my tax reform plan, Jumpstart America, introduced in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Congress must develop a bill that serves hardworking Americans by way of significant cuts for families and individuals. Main Street and small businesses that employ these Americans are the driving force of this economy, and I am encouraged by the draft that I saw today. I will continue to fight for fairer taxes across the board, and I look forward to Congress applying my business owner’s perspective on true and comprehensive tax reform, that will spur job creation and jumpstart America.”
