Congressman Williams responds to Administration's delayed implementation of Obamacare "employer mandate"

July 2, 2013

Today, the Obama Administration announced a one-year delay in the law's employer mandate requiring companies with 50 or more workers to offer coverage or face a $3000 fine per employee. Congressman Roger Williams (TX-25) released the following statement in response:

"As a business owner of 42 years, I know first-hand the disastrous impacts this law is having on our nation's small business owners - the backbone of our economy. Today's announcement shows that this Administration clearly knows the law is unaffordable, overly complex and unworkable. Now more than ever, we need to repeal and replace ObamaCare with real reform that protects families and businesses while providing patient-centered, not government-centered, care."
