Congressman Williams Tours Core Laboratories | Owen Oil Tools Division Facility
GODLEY, TEXAS - Congressman Roger Williams (R-Austin) visited with local Godley small business, Owen Oil Tools Division, this morning to meet with the staff and tour their facility. As a small business owner for his entire working life, Rep. Williams was able to discuss the impact the new Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is having not only on their business, but their workers as well. They also talked about the possible implications of steel tariffs and how it will affect Texas manufacturing.
“Businesses like Owen Oil Tools Division are a vital part of Godley, Texas. In addition to providing great jobs for hardworking Americans, this company brings a sense of togetherness in the Johnson County community,” said Rep. Williams. “I enjoyed meeting with the company’s leadership and employees earlier today to learn what issues matter to them, such as continuing to cut taxes so they can reinvest into their operations, and their concerns over steel tariffs. I am proud to represent these folks in Congress, and I will continue to fight to ensure their prosperity.”
Vice President of USA and Latin America Operations Dean Samrow made the following comments:
“Here at Owen Oil Tools Division, we want to thank Congressman Williams for taking the time to visit our manufacturing plant in Godley, Texas,” said VP Samrow. “We appreciate Rep. Williams listening to our concerns in regards to legislation and steel tariffs, and we know that he will fight to keep local manufacturing in the great State of Texas.
