Rep. Williams Announces $1 Million FEMA Grant for Faunt Le Roy Park Repairs
GATESVILLE, TX – Congressman Roger Williams (R-TX-25) today announced a $1,020,545.94 grant awarded to the city of Gatesville, Texas by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The funds are intended to aid recovery from severe storms and flooding that washed over the Leon River embankment causing damage to Faunt Le Roy Park and South 7th Street Road.
“I’m pleased that Gatesville will receive this much-needed aid to continue the recovery process from devastating storms and flooding,” said Congressman Williams. “I thank the Administration for their work and attention to the 25th District, and I look forward to the day when Faunt Le Roy Park is restored for full use by our community.”
The funds will assist in repairing the facility back to pre-disaster design, capacity and function within the existing footprint and with in-kind materials as outlined in the Contracts and Force Account.
