Rep. Williams Demands Answers from Secretary Mayorkas on Border Crisis
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Roger Williams (TX-25)joined a letter to the Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas demanding answers and accountability on his handling of the border crisis. You can read the full letter by clicking here.
"Month after month, the Secretary has failed in his constitutional duty to defend the homeland and safeguard our Nation's sovereignty," said Congressman Williams. "From failing to enforce the successful Remain in Mexico policy, disregarding laws that require construction of physical barriers on the Southern border, and rescinding Title 42, Secretary Mayorkas' actions have endangered every community and contributed to the historic crisis that grows worse each day.
Texans share in the concern that President Biden appointed leaders who willingly defy the rule of law. I was proud to join my Republican colleagues in bringing these concerns to the forefront and demanding the Secretary respond to our questions on his dangerous policies and administrative actions. His weak leadership has contributed to millions of illegal aliens who have been given the green light by the Biden Administration to cross the border and put American lives and livelihoods at risk. He is unqualified and unfit to continue to lead this critical department."
