Rep. Williams’ Statement on the FY22 NDAA

September 24, 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Roger Williams (TX-25) issued the following statementon the fiscal year 2022 (FY22) National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA):

"The NDAA typically enjoys a longstanding bipartisan tradition to provide for our men and women in uniform, and ensure the readiness and modernization of our Armed Forces," said Congressman Williams. "While there are good components to the FY22 NDAA, I believe much needed improvements can be made in conference to make the bill better and remove many of the Democrats' attempts to further politicize our military. I look forward to supporting a NDAA which will include a 2.7 % pay raise, inclusion of my bipartisan Boots to Business Act, and an overall 5% increase to next year's defense budget. Providing for our Armed Services, and most importantly the brave men and women at Fort Hood in TX-25, will always be my highest priority."
