Rep. Williams’ Statement on President Biden’s State of the Union Address

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Roger Williams (TX-25) issued the following statement following President Biden’s State of the Union address:

“President Biden’s address to the Nation sparked more distrust than confidence in his ability to lead our Nation," said Congressman Roger Williams. “Two years of his failed policies have caused hardship for American families and Main Street America. His speech tonight did more to distract from his abysmal track record than to address their top concerns. From paying more at the grocery store, feeling pain at the pump, overflowing borders, broken supply chains, and allowing our adversaries to challenge our sovereignty, the consequences of this Administration’s reckless agenda and left-wing policies can be felt across our country. The President had an opportunity to speak directly to the American people and address these crises facing our country, instead, President Biden attempted to take a “victory lap” for his failed agenda. The new Republican House will be the voice of the American people and hold Joe Biden accountable.”
