Roger Williams Named Coach of Republican Baseball Team

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Roger Williams (R-Texas) announced his role as coach of the Republican congressional baseball team that will play in the Congressional Baseball Game for Charity on Thursday, June 11 at Nationals Park.

Williams and his Republican teammates hold practice during the week before votes, at 6:30 a.m., several miles from the U.S. Capitol.

After graduating from Texas Christian University, Williams was drafted by the Atlanta Braves and played in their farm system.|
