Roger Williams Statement on Passing of Mayor George Marti

CLEBURNE, TEXAS – Congressman Roger Williams (R-Texas) today released the following statement after the death of inventor, businessman, philanthropist and former Mayor of Cleburne George Marti:

"Today, we lost a true Renaissance man whose immense talents made him a household name to many and whose devotion to helping others improved the lives of so many more. George honorably served his country and community and made it his life's work to putting others before himself. I am proud that I was able to call him a friend."

Marti served as Cleburne mayor from 1974-1986.
