Roger Williams Statement on Texas Independence Day

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Roger Williams (R – Texas) today released the following statement to recognize the anniversary of Texas’ declaration of independence from Mexico:

“The enduring Texan spirit of resolve officially began on this day 180 years ago,” said Williams. “Since the historical milestone of 1836, Texans have proven time and again that they are capable of overcoming adversity by rising to new challenges while taking care of their own.
