Williams Meets with Stephenville Economic Development Authority

August 16, 2018

STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS – Congressman Roger Williams (R-Austin) spoke with Stephenville Economic Development Authority (SEDA) members and local community leaders this morning. As a small business owner for his entire working life, Rep. Williams was able to discuss small business legislation and regulations, such as the new Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. They also discussed improvements Rep. Williams hopes to see as Congress begins to debate Tax Reform 2.0.

"I promised Texans in the 25th District that I would work hard to bring a commonsense business owners perspective to Washington. I have fought for the American worker day after day, and I am proud to have had key legislation passed in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act," said Rep. Williams. "It was great to meet with local leaders at the Stephenville Economic Development Authority meeting earlier today to discuss the historical tax cuts that affect them every day. We talked about how they've been directly impacted, and what Congress can improve upon in Tax Reform 2.0. I look forward to fighting for them once I return to Washington to ensure taxes are fairer, flatter, simpler and permanent."
