Williams Speaks at Austin Chamber ‘Pulse on Policy’ Series
AUSTIN, TEXAS – Congressman Roger Williams (R-Austin) joined local Austin Chamber of Commerce members this morning for their ‘Pulse on Policy’ series. As a small business owner for his entire working life, Williams was able to discuss small business legislation and regulations, such as the new Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. They also discussed improvements Rep. Williams hopes to see as Congress begins to debate Tax Reform 2.0.
“As a resident of Austin, Texas, it’s always good to be back with the members of the local Chamber of Commerce and hear their priorities for the rest of the legislative year,” said Rep. Williams. “We discussed important issues such as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which was passed last year, and Tax Reform 2.0, that I hope to see passed as quickly as possible. As Congress begins debating the new tax bill, it is important to hear from constituents about what matters to them and what they need in order to thrive in this booming economy. I appreciate their ideas and look forward to working with House Leadership to address them in upcoming legislation.”
