Williams Tours Pedernales Electric Cooperative Facility
MARBLE FALLS, TEXAS – Congressman Roger Williams (R-Austin) visited with employees of Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) to meet and tour their new facility. As a business owner his entire working life, Rep. Williams was able to discuss legislation and regulations, such as the new Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, and the affect its having on PEC's business and workers. They also discussed improvements Rep. Williams hopes to see as Congress begins to debate Tax Reform 2.0.
"For over 80 years, Pedernales Electric Cooperative has been supplying important utilities to America. Being the largest electric distribution cooperative in the nation, PEC provides thousands of jobs for hardworking Americans, and I am proud to represent them in the 25th District of Texas," said Rep. Williams. "It has been remarkable to watch companies like PEC and their employees thrive in this booming economy following historic tax reform. It was great to tour their new facility and hear the concerns of their workforce. As a small business owner, I am proud to be their voice in Washington and will continue fight for their priorities."
