Rep. Williams Talks Paul Ryan, Tax Plan & Budget Deal on Lone Star Politics

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Roger Williams (R-Texas) on Sunday joined Gromer Jeffers of The Dallas Morning News and Kristi Nelson of KXAS Dallas/ Fort Worth on Lone Star Politics to discuss his tax reform plan – Jumpstart America, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and the budget deal recently passed by the House.

"If you're a thousand dollars short, you don't go borrow another thousand, you cut a thousand," said Williams as he expressed his disapproval of the budget deal that suspends the debt limit through the next beginning of the next administration. "I want to see real cuts before we borrow more money."

Last Friday, Williams wrote an op-ed in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram titled, When a compromise deal doesn't deserve to be applauded.
