Pro-Life

I believe that life is a precious gift beginning at conception. Not only is opposing abortion the moral choice, but it is the humane one. I have voted every year to defund Planned Parenthood and I will always support measures that protect our nation's most vulnerable. I am proud to hold an "A+" rating from the Susan B. Anthony Listfor my efforts to protect the unborn.

Some of my work to protect the unborn includes:

• Cosponsored H.R.7, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act, which prohibits the use of federal funds for abortions or for health coverage that includes abortion.
   
• Co-led the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (H.R. 26), which establishes affirmative federal protection for babies who survivor an attempted abortion.
   
• Voted in support of Amendments to the NDAA that roll back Biden’s dangerous and illegal Department of Defense abortion travel policy.
   
• Cosponsored the Life at Conception Act (H.R.431), commonsense legislation that would require protection for the preborn under the 14th Amendment, which grants all citizens equal protection under the law and prevents them from being deprived of life, liberty or property without due process of law.
   
• Cosponsored H.R.427, the SAVE Moms and Babies Act, which prohibits the FDA from approving any new drug intended to terminate a pregnancy.
   
• Co-led the Protect the UNBORN Act (H.R.407),which prohibits the implementation of and funding for President Biden’s pro-abortion Executive Orders.
   
• Co-led H.R.371, the Defund Planned Parenthood Act, which restricts federal funding for Planned Parenthood, or any of its affiliates.
   
• Co-led H.R.6176, the Protect Funding for Women’s Health Care Act, which prohibits federal funding for Planned Parenthood, or any of its affiliates.
   
• Led the effort to make it a crime for a physician to knowingly perform an abortion after detecting a fetus heartbeat with the Heartbeat Protection Act (H.R. 490).
  
  
• Co-led Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act (H.R. 296) that prohibits HHS from providing family planning grants to abortion centers.
   
• Protecting Life in Crisis Act (H.R. 6742) to ensured Hyde protections are included in any coronavirus relief funds.
