Come and Read It Report
While Democrats continue wasting valuable time with bogus impeachment hearings, the clock on our legislative calendar is ticking down. We have yet to pass a budget that responsibly funds our government, which means next week we must vote on a short-term continuing resolution that kicks the can down the road and continues the cycle of wasteful spending. Our national debt just reached $23 trillion, taxes will be automatically increasing for families and businesses soon, and we still have not passed USMCA. It's clear their actions are purely for political gain and they're hurting the American people in the process.
Working for Texas
I joined The Texan podcast to discuss why I came to Congress to work for the 25th District, the urgency of passing bipartisan legislation that will benefit our communities, and how we must tackle our national deficit for future generations. We even talked about a little bit of baseball. Click here or on the image below to view the full episode.

Why I voted no
Today I voted against reauthorizing the Export-Import Bank. Earlier this year, there was a bipartisan agreement to reauthorize the bank with provisions that helped reduce taxpayers exposures to loss and took a tough stance against the Chinese Communist Party and their growing economic influence globally. Unfortunately, my colleagues on the other side of the aisle decided to cast away the bipartisan compromise and brought a bill to the floor that failed to take into account any Republican concerns. Not only is China our greatest economic competitor, but the United States should combat their record of horrific human rights violations with every tool at our disposal. The bill also does little to help alleviate taxpayer liability and increases a federal government role that the private sector is better equipped to handle. Click here to read more.
Military Family Appreciation Month
During the month of November, we honor the dedication, commitment and daily sacrifices of the 2.6 million military family members in the United States. These men and women may not take an oath to defend our liberty, but they are the forces behind our front lines. Their contributions to our national security are indisputable, and because of them, America continues to shine as a beacon of hope throughout the world. To all our military families in the 25th District and across the nation, I salute you and thank you for the sacrifices you have made.
In God we trust,
