Congressman Williams Meets with Secretary DeVos

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Roger Williams (R-Austin) issued the following statement Wednesday afternoon after meeting with Department of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos:

"It was an encouraging meeting with Secretary DeVos earlier today to explore what we can do to increase security at our local schools," said Rep. Williams. "The Department of Education's top priority must be securing our schools and protecting our students. I was pleased to discuss my bill, H.R. 5107, with the Secretary and welcomed her feedback on how we can continue to further advance safety measures for our nation's children and teachers."
