WASHINGTON, DC – The Financial Services Committee announced that Congressman Roger Williams (R – Austin) has been appointed Vice Chair of the Subcommittee on Monetary Policy and Trade for the 115th Congress. Williams, who has served on the Financial Services Committee for the past two years, was appointed to the leadership role by the committee chairman, Congressman Jeb Hensarling.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Roger Williams (R – Austin) and a bipartisan group of 341 Representatives Thursday night formally objected to last month's United Nations' Security Council resolution condemning Israeli settlements by adopting H.Res.11.

"The overwhelmingly bipartisan adoption of this House resolution illustrates this Congress' commitment to Israel," said Williams. "For too long President Obama has allowed his personal grievances to jeopardize our country's relationship with a reliable, strategic and friendly ally in the Middle East."

"I am happy to have voted in favor of holding accountable an agency that has for too long followed a political agenda instead of working for the betterment of US taxpayers. The IRS improperly and wrongfully targeted conservative groups that were applying for tax-exempt status, which in my opinion is unacceptable."
