WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Roger Williams (R – Austin), a member of the House Financial Services Committee and a second generation small business owner, joined Squawk Box on CNBC Wednesday morning to discuss his tax reform plan, Jumpstart America.

Jumpstart America will do the following:

Cap Individual Tax Rate to 20% and 30% for those making more than $1 million/ year

Lower Corporate Tax Rate to 20%

Make Permanent a Repatriation Tax of 5%

Preserve LIFO Accounting

Lower Capital Gains and Dividends Tax Rate to 15%

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Roger Williams (R – Austin), a member of the House Financial Services Committee, Thursday morning presided over his first subcommittee hearing as vice chair of the subcommittee on Monetary Policy and Trade.

Williams, who serves alongside the subcommittee chair, Congressman Andy Barr of Kentucky, has been critical of U.S. economic growth since the Great Recession, which has been declared the weakest recovery since World War II.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Roger Williams (R – Austin) on Tuesday voted for H.R.7: The No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, which would make the longstanding Hyde Amendment (an annually passed amendment that bars taxpayer dollars from funding abortions) permanent.

"Mr. Speaker, this bill we're debating is not about man versus woman. It is not about liberal versus conservative. H.R.7 is not about taking away the rights of a woman. It is about protecting the rights of the unborn," said Williams. "Because at the end of the day that is what this comes down to."

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Roger Williams (R – Austin) on Tuesday voted for the HALOS Act (Helping Angels Lead Our Startups Act) which will amend the Securities Act of 1933 to make it easier for early investors to provide capital to a startup.

According to the Financial Services Committee, which Williams is a member, in 2014, angel investors invested approximately $24 billion in more than 73,000 startups. Companies such as Amazon, Costco and Google were all initially funded by angel investors.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Roger Williams (R – Austin) Thursday congratulated Austin's Lake Travis High School Cavaliers on winning their sixth state championship last month.

Williams' remarks are below:

"Mr. Speaker, I rise today to congratulate the 2016 Lake Travis Cavaliers on winning their 6th state Championship.

"I am proud to say that the L-T Takeover of Class 6A high school football is complete.

"The Lake Travis Cavaliers, led by Head Football coach Hank Carter, defeated The Woodlands in grand fashion by a score of 41-13.
