America does not have a revenue problem - we have a spending problem. Decades of reckless policies have pushed our national debt past $37 trillion and fueled inflation that is squeezing families every day. This runaway spending is now one of the greatest threats to our national security.
President Trump and Congressional Republicans have taken action to turn things around - cutting taxes for hardworking Americans, lowering energy costs, and bringing jobs home through stronger domestic manufacturing.
But Washington must do more to live within its means. I am committed to fighting for responsible spending cuts so that families never have to choose between keeping the lights on or putting food on the table.
Some of my work includes:
- Introduced the Freedom to Compete Act, H.R. 4869, which requires all federal agencies to identify and rescind or modify regulations that limit competition or create barriers to entry for new market participants.
- Supported the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, H.R. 1, which delivers pro-growth tax relief, cuts wasteful spending, and removes burdensome regulations to lower costs, strengthen Main Street businesses, and boost American manufacturing.
- Co-led and supported multiple Congressional Review Acts to overturn burdensome and harmful Biden Administration era rules and regulations.
- Supported President Trump’s tax incentives for immediate expensing, R&D, and domestic manufacturing, fueling expansion and innovation across Texas.
