AUSTIN, TX Congressman Roger Williams (R-TX-25) today announced $1,009,363 in grants awarded to the University of Texas at Austin by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The supplemental funding, allocated in the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, is intended to support research and efforts to prevent, prepare for and respond to a coronavirus outbreak.

AUSTIN, TX Congressman Roger Williams (R-TX-25) today announced $2,218,043 in grants awarded to Austin Area health centers by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The funding, allocated in the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act, is intended to cover expenses to expand testing, purchase PPE, train staff, administer tests, carry out laboratory services for tests and expand drive-thru testing sites.

AUSTIN, TX Congressman Roger Williams (R-TX-25) today applauded the distribution of a $634,000,000 grant awarded to Texas by the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The funding, made available by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, will begin being directly deposited to 393 Critical Access Hospitals (CAH's), Rural Health Clinics (RHC's), and Community Health Centers statewide.

KILLEEN, TX Congressman Roger Williams (R-TX-25) today announced an additional $630,000 grant awarded to Robert Gray Army Airfield by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to help maintain airport safety and infrastructure during the COVID-19 pandemic. The funds, provided through the FAA's Airport Improvement Program (AIP), were made available under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.

Congressman Roger Williams (R-TX-25) today praised House passage of the Senate Amendment to the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act (H.R. 266) following his vote to approve the package. H.R. 266 provides an additional $310 billion for the Paycheck Protection Program, $75 billion in hospital assistance, and $25 billion directed toward testing for COVID-19.
