Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in each congressional district.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressmen Roger Williams (R – Texas) and Ryan Zinke (R – Mont.) have commemorated Texas Christian University’s win over University of Oregon in the Alamo Bowl with the terms of their wager made in December.

Williams, a former All-Southwest Conference center fielder at TCU, and Zinke, a former All PAC-10 center with the Oregon Ducks, both bet on their alma maters.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Roger Williams (R – Texas) announced today that he has received the National Retail Federation’s 2015 “Hero of Main Street” Award.

The recipients, according to the NRF, are a “bipartisan group of 289 members of Congress (who) support retail industry priorities such as international trade, patent reform, health care, tax reform and workforce policies that work for employees and employers alike.”

Williams is a second generation small business owner and rancher.
