Today, U.S. Congressman Roger Williams commended Central Texas College and Chancellor Thomas Klincar for their quick action in offering to provide grants to military students affected by the suspension of most Department of Defense tuition assistance worldwide.

Today, U.S. Congressman Roger Williams (R-TX) released the following statement after the House passed the House Republican budget and the Continuing Resolution.

I hope the Senate and President will give this plan serious consideration rather than their efforts to balance our nation’s staggering debt on the backs of the middle-class and small businesses.”

Today, U.S. Congressman Roger Williams (TX-25) made the following comments regarding the White House’s decision to cancel all public tours blaming the federal spending cuts, known as the sequester. Williams said:

This week, U.S. Congressman Roger Williams (R-TX) invited high school students residing in the 25^th District of Texas to participate in the annual Congressional Art Competition by submitting their original pieces of art.

All high school students residing in Texas' 25^th District are eligible to enter. The winning entry will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol, and the student will receive two round-trip airline tickets to Washington, D.C. to attend the unveiling of their artwork in the Capitol and a reception honoring the winners in June.

Today, U.S. Congressman Roger Williams (R-TX) spoke on the House floor urging the President to take necessary actions to prevent his disastrous sequester from going into effect.

This week, U.S. Congressman Roger Williams (R-TX) cosponsored Rep. John Carter's (R-TX) bill, H.R. 705, that would grant the victims and victims' families of the November 5, 2009, attack on Fort Hood the same treatment and benefits as those Americans who have been killed or wounded in a combat zone overseas and their families. Williams represents Coryell County as well as portions of Bell County, the city of Killeen and Fort Hood.
