This week, U.S. Congressman Roger Williams (R-TX) invited high school students residing in the 25th District of Texas to participate in the annual Congressional Art Competition by submitting their original pieces of art.
All high school students residing in Texas' 25th District are eligible to enter. The winning entry will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol, and the student will receive two round-trip airline tickets to Washington, D.C. to attend the unveiling of their artwork in the Capitol and a reception honoring the winners in June.
This week, U.S. Congressman Roger Williams (R-TX) cosponsored Rep. John Carter's (R-TX) bill, H.R. 705, that would grant the victims and victims' families of the November 5, 2009, attack on Fort Hood the same treatment and benefits as those Americans who have been killed or wounded in a combat zone overseas and their families. Williams represents Coryell County as well as portions of Bell County, the city of Killeen and Fort Hood.

Today, U.S. Congressman Roger Williams (R-TX) spoke on the House floor in support of H.R. 444, the Require a Plan Act. Soon after, the House passed this bill which would require the White House to produce a budget that balances within at least ten years.
