KILLEEN, TEXAS – Congressman Roger Williams (R – Austin), who represents Fort Hood, one of the largest United States military installations in the world, announced that Fort Hood received $117.4 million in barracks funding for ten Rolling Pin barracks renovations.

A week ago, President Trump and the Department of Homeland Security announced the deployment of the National Guard to the Southern Border. I have always been in favor of using any and all means necessary, including more boots on the ground, to secure our nation's borders. As the former Secretary of State of Texas, I applaud Governor Greg Abbott's swift actions and will continue to work with the President and Congress to ensure we take additional steps to keep our citizens safe.
WASHINGTON, DC – The American Conservative Union (ACU) released its annual ratings for 2017, the First Session of the 115th Congress. Congressman Williams (R-Austin) earned ACU's highest award of Conservative Excellence for voting to uphold conservative principles. Rep. Williams received a rating of 96%, and has a lifetime rating of 93%.

Scores of Vietnam veterans gathered for events commemorating Vietnam veterans on Thursday.
A National Vietnam Veterans Commemorative Breakfast was organized and hosted by Chapter 1000 of the Vietnam Veterans of America at the Harker Heights Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3892. Later in the day, the Killeen Veterans Center hosted a barbecue to properly welcome the veterans home. Both events offered Vietnam veterans an opportunity to reunite and reflect on the history of the war and veterans-related issues.
