AUSTIN, TEXAS – Congressman Roger Williams (R – Texas) today invited high school students residing in Texas' 25th Congressional District to participate in the annual Congressional Art Competition.

Each spring, a nation-wide high school art competition is sponsored by the Congressional Institute. The Artistic Discovery Contest is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in the nation, as well as in our congressional district.

LAMPASAS — Congressman Roger Williams, R–Austin, recognized veterans who served during the Vietnam War era for their service to the nation, during a National Vietnam War Veterans Day ceremony at the Old Middle School complex in Lampasas Thursday.

Williams expressed his gratitude for their valor and selfless service during an unpopular war, and for their sacrifices that benefited all Americans.

WASHINGTON, DC – The Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW) released its annual report 2017, the First Session of the 115th Congress. Congressman Williams (R-Austin) was named a "Taxpayer Hero" for earning a score of 98% in CCAGW's 2017 Congressional Rating. He has a lifetime rating of 93% over the past five years.

After gunfire rang out at Maryland's Great Mills High School on Tuesday, Republican Representative Roger Williams, of Texas, said he believes that his school security bill could prevent similar incidents.

Williams's bill, HR 5107, would create a grant program under the Department of Education to keep schools safe and directs the DOE's secretary to allocate funds after a school submits an application.

After many years of waiting to expand, more than 100 gathered on Monday to celebrate the grand opening of the new Keene City Hall and Community Center, 1000 N. Old Betsy Road.

Designed by Callahan & Freeman Architects, the building, just shy of 30,000 square feet, was built on 3 acres of land across from Elisa Carver Park on Old Betsy Road.
