Dear Friends,
I am heartbroken after learning of the hateful shooting yesterday in Sutherland Springs, Texas. The thought of someone walking into a place of worship and opening fire on innocent people is unthinkable. I am thankful for the brave citizen in this small town who helped stop the shooter, and I know the Lord is watching over the victims, their families, and all of the first responders who were affected. I will continue lifting up Texas with prayer.

Tax Reform Update

Congress is working on a plan that would dramatically overhaul our tax code for the first time in more than three decades — and this comprehensive approach should guide our country every step of the way.
Modernizing our tax code means more than just lowering rates. It is about doing away with our archaic, convoluted and uncompetitive tax code and replacing it with one that is fairer, flatter and simpler.
