Dear Friends,
Every day we are getting closer to achieving a pro-family, pro-growth and pro-American tax reform plan. In order to do so, last week, House Republican Leadership announced we will stay in Washington until at least December 22 to ensure we get this done. We promised the American people a tax break by 2018, and that is exactly what we're going to do.

Come and Read It Report
Dear Friends,
We are close, we are very close! And I am more excited than ever to pass this tax relief bill for hard-working Americans and their families. When I was elected to Congress in 2012, I made a promise to reform our current tax system, and I am more than hopeful that we will deliver on that promise by Christmas. Here are some key highlights that I'd like you to be aware of:
Tax Reform
Dear Friends,
I hope everyone enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday and had the chance to spend time with family and friends. Last week was a time to remember everything we are thankful for,and show those we love how much we care. Representing all of you in Washington is something I will always be grateful for, and I am thankful for the opportunity to serve the great State of Texas.
Tax Reform
Dear Friends,
With Thanksgiving coming up this week, it is a time to reflect on, and be thankful for everything in our lives. This last year has shown me how precious life can be, and I owe that to Capitol Police Officers Crystal Griner and David Bailey. I am thankful to serve as the representative for the greatest district, in the greatest state, in the greatest nation in the world. It is an honor serving the people of the Texas-25th, and I am looking forward to continuing to fight for issues that are important to all of you.
Dear Friends,
This past weekend allowed me to travel the district and spend time meeting and speaking with our veterans. These American heroes put their lives on the line for our country's freedom, and each and every one of them holds a special place in my heart. I am humbled to represent and fight for them in Congress. God bless the armed forces and God bless America!
Tax Reform
Dear Friends,
I am heartbroken after learning of the hateful shooting yesterday in Sutherland Springs, Texas. The thought of someone walking into a place of worship and opening fire on innocent people is unthinkable. I am thankful for the brave citizen in this small town who helped stop the shooter, and I know the Lord is watching over the victims, their families, and all of the first responders who were affected. I will continue lifting up Texas with prayer.
Dear Friends,
This week has been a long time coming, and I am eagerly awaiting the release of the tax reform bill text. Scheduled to be released this week, the House has been working hard to ensure this new tax plan benefits all Americans. I want the 25th District of Texas to rest assured that I will not stop fighting until we have a bill that is fairer and simpler for you.
Tax Reform Update
Dear Friends,
We are back to work in Washington this week where I will continue fighting on behalf of all of you in the 25th District of Texas. Tax relief is still coming your way and I am excited to share some updates with you:
Tax Reform Update
Dear Friends,
Last week in Washington was a busy one. Fighting for a simpler and fairer financial system continues to be a top priority on my legislative agenda, and I will not stop until we have true tax reform. As I've said before, the Budget Resolution for Fiscal Year 2018 was the gateway to tax reform, and the House did its job - we are now waiting on our Senate counterparts to do the same so we can get this ball rolling.
National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Update
Dear Friends,
As we arrive back in Washington today, my focus continues to be on fighting for economic freedom from our overburdening tax system. As I have said for years, we have to simplify our system and lower our rates to put more money back in the pockets of hardworking Americans like yourself. Here are some highlights from last week and the week ahead that I'd like you to be aware of:
