It was an honor to welcome President Donald Trump to the 25th District last week as Louis Vuitton opened their new facility in Johnson County.
Over the last few months, I've had the opportunity to hear from members of our community about what matters most to them. It is a privilege to be your voice in Congress and to fight on your behalf for continued job creation, economic growth, and bettering the lives of our Texas families. Click on the video below to see a few of my visits throughout the 25th District.
We've had a busy few weeks back in Washington, but I wanted to recap our district work period during the month of August, where I visited every county in our 25th District and logged over 3,300 miles between nearly 70 events. I had the opportunity to meet with some of our school leaders, law enforcement officials, business owners, veterans and families, and had some invaluable conversations about the state of our nation.
I am pleased to share some great news with you. The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS) is expanding its services for veterans with two new clinics. One in Copperas Cove and one in Killeen.
During my tenure in Congress, my top priority has been fighting for better care for veterans in Texas' 25th district and across the country. With the rapidly growing number of veterans living in the Central Texas region, meeting the needs of our vets is a challenge that we must address immediately.
Dear Texans,
It has been a great week seeing so many constituents while I am home for this district work period. There are so many incredible people, organizations and companies that work every day to lift up our community and it is always a pleasure to hear from them. I was able to spend time at several of these community establishments this week and I wanted to share more about my visits with you.
Dear Texans,
I wanted to update you on the work I am doing to provide better care to our veterans in Central Texas. The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS), one of the largest healthcare systems in the nation, is growing rapidly and in need of additional resources to meet the needs of our veteran community.
Dear Texans,
It was great to be back home in TX-25 the last two weeks. Visiting with you – the constituents – is the best part of my job and is vital to ensuring that your ideas and voices are heard in Washington.
We covered over 1,800 miles during the recess period, hosting 26 events in all of our district's 13 counties!
My 3 biggest takeaways:
Dear Texans,
It's one of our favorite times of the year - high school football playoffs! In Texas, we know that means early morning practices, decking out in school colors, and braving the cold to watch our players leave it all out on the field for a shot at the state title.
